About Me
My name is Jeannine. I am a mama of 4 munchkins, as I like to call them...ages 13, 11, 9, and 4. I am a former elementary school teacher and now I substitute teach because I really love being in the classroom. I am originally from California, where I grew up and met my husband, Matt. My husband and I love to get our whole family outside as much as possible. We live in Colorado and love to hike, fish and camp...mostly in Colorado and Wyoming. I love to make things or renovate things I already have so this blog will focus on crafting but will also have posts on cooking, home and garden, children and family, and inspiration. I probably am creating things that make a mess more often than I am organizing my pantry, so if you’re looking for one those blogs with all the perfect kitchen pics, this isn’t the one. However, I hope you will get ideas for creating some fun things, making some yummy food and inspiration for setting your heart on things above!
About Human Trafficking
Human Trafficking is a cause that I have become more passionate about in
the past 2 years. I am no expert yet, but my goal is to learn more, so once a
month I will also be writing an informational post on human trafficking. It is
my hope that I can educate myself while making others more aware also.
Worldwide there are approximately 27 million slaves....more slaves now than any
other time in history! Out of that number, 21 million are women and children.
Slavery is not only a problem in foreign countries, but exists right here in the
United States. It is really eye opening to learn what goes on so close to home
to innocent victims who are often unable to reach for help.
And so was born the name of my business and blog: Traffic Stopping
THREADS. My shop holds handmade items for mamas and babies. 10% of profits
from our shop each will go to Life for the Innocent, a ministry based in
Fort Collins, CO that rescues children out of trafficking. Would love for you
to learn more right along with me!!
